Thanks for the valuable insights David,

Just wanted to check when we use the 5000 span displaced average, the straight line does not appear, instead the moving average is still little curved,

Could you kindly help as to how to make a straight line

Regards

Ak

Hey Ak, you will have to explain a little more. Where is it curved? It may be edge effects

Thanks for your reply David,

I meant how to get a straight line coz when I am applying 5000 Centered moving average, the line is bending and not appearing like a straight line.

Also on which time frame should I use 5000 Centered moving average.

I mostly trade currencies.

I don't think you have understood the concept. It is only 5000 because the number of data points in the example above is 10000

Sorry I am a little confused here, like on my chart of Gbp/usd on a 1 hour time frame, the total number of candles are 25000,

So in this case I need to apply displaced moving average of 12500 - 6250 to get a straight line(Centered moving average) on my chart.

Is this the right thing or I am getting it wrong.

Why would you want a straight line on your chart? A filter that attenuates all periodicities?

So should I use 500, 750 and 1000 MA and 1000, 1500 and 2500 MA

On most of my charts. Appreciate your guidance

I felt it’s easy to read on the chart as it’s a perfect mid point in that particular chart so the trade setups and targets are clear.

Maybe I am wrong so that’s y wanted your guidance,

Also please if it’s possible to take a paid course from you, I would love to take it.

I am a very quick learner so won’t takne much of your time. Kindly advice.
